Environmental Book Week 2007
Year 1 & 2 worked with Mrs Recycle making recycling buckets to sort all the different types of rubbish. We recorded the 7 different types of materials which can be recycled.
We used the story ‘Dinosaurs and all that Rubbish’ as a focus for our work on recycling.
We also looked at the stories ‘Dear Greenpeace’ and ‘Oi! Get off our train’ as a focus for our work on endangered animals.
We wrote letters and poems about endangered animals and why we need to save them.

We printed endangered animals coats and skins. Can you guess the animals we need to save?
We invited our parents to come in and work with us to create recycling junk beasts and we created a KS1 whale made out of old crisp packets. We had a whale of a time making it!!
